Dr. Ravindra Patil


The Department offers one undergraduate and one post-graduate leading to bachelor and master degrees in civil and structural engineering respectively. The department is enriched with combination of young and experience faculties with expertise in academics and research in the domain of civil engineering. The faculties strive hard to create the thrust in the students to take active participation, both in academics and research. With the inclusion of doctoral faculties from various IIT's and NIT's, the department has extended the new horizons to students, which provides quality education and success in their profession. The faculties also take active participation in consultancy and R&D works to extend their support to outside society, which keeps institute reputation high.

    • Swapnil Mane He is a third year student in Department of Civil Engineering. He was selected for All India Knock-Out Cup 2015 on the basis of state event conducted by Maharashtra Boxing Association and Amateur Ranking of the players. He represented Team Ma-harashtra as a captain for Tournament held at Vishakhapatnam during 17 to 20 December 2015 and played till quarter finals and ranked 4th in the Tournament.

He gave demo and hands on training to 78 TE Civil students with respect to following content- Practical based on various special functions available in a total station such as remote elevation measurements, remote distance measurements and co-ordinate stake out.

Students carefully studied and observed the complete process of waste water treatment, functions of its components and practical methods to find out characteristics of industrial waste water. Officials at CETP guided the students about various ways to treat Industrial waste water.
The students carefully studied and observed the complete process of cable pretensioning, concreting, curing, etc. Officials at the manufacturing plant guided the students regarding various aspects of railway sleepers.

Nira Deoghar Dam:- Nira-Deoghar is an irrigation project across river Nira, a Right bank tributary of Bhima in Krishna basin near village Deoghar, Taluka-Bhor, Dist-Pune. This project is an irrigation-cum power project with of power potential of 6MW. Kank saheb guided us and explained dam features and showed power house.

Dam is This dam is constructed across the river Krishna. Krishna river is one of the longest rivers in central-southern India, about 1,300 kilometers (810 mi). flows through the states Maharashtra , Karnataka , Andhra Pradesh and ends in bay. Irrigation - The construction of this dam was started in 1996. The major purpose of this dam is the supply of water to the agriculture, industries, and for drinking. Water supply is majorly done for Wai, Phaltan, Khandala, Bhor, Panchgani - Mahabaleshwar and the surrounding villages on the bank of the dam.
