Campus Network Diagram
Computing division administers and manages the entire institute campus computer network which includes all Departments, Computer Centers, Library, Administrative office, Hostels Network Connectivity.
A) Hardware available:
Sophos XG -330 is using for to providing secure internet facility to all department’s students, faculties, Staff, and laboratories. The Sophos XG -330 firewall is tightly integrated with features like Application Visibility & Control, VPN (IPsec& SSL VPN), Intrusion Prevention System, Web Filtering, Bandwidth Management, Anti-Virus & Anti-Spyware, Anti-Spam, and Multiple Link Management to provide unified security also Cyberoam Firewall thus protects organizations from DoS, DDoS, and IP Spoofing attacks.I) Servers:
For providing Internet, N – Computing, Live broadcasting lectures Facilities, ADS Server and Online Examination, we are using various servers likes Dell Power Edge R210, HP Proliant ML 110, Proliant DL 60, IBM AIX Server.
II) Computers:
Institute have total 890 computer systems having Inter Core i3 & i5 processors with 512 GB SSD & 500 GB SATA HDD, 4GB - 16GB RAM and 18.5” & 21.5” Monitor screen. Recently we have added total 325 Intel core i5 12th Gen. 512GB SSD, 16 Gb DDR4 RAM with 21.5 HD Monitor screen PCs into the labs. We have total 40 N+ thin clients computing facility.B) Software availability:
I) Major Licensed Purchased Software’s:
MSDN Microsoft volume campus license subscription (For VPKBIET Campus), Turnitin Plagiarism, MATLAB license 2019b, 2020a, 2022a, IE3D Super Structure Design, CST Studio Suite, ETAP, PSIM Software, Solid works, MSC, Ansys, STAAD Pro, Goals British English Language Lab and Campus ERP, Limited copy of Quick Heal Antivirus, Tally ERP9, Sensys Easy- pay, Campus ERP and Zoom meet software with 500 Participants license subscription.II) Other Important licensed software’s (Through Collaboration):
C) Networking Facility:
Total 500 Mbps dedicated Internet Leased Line bandwidth port speed capacity with contention ratio 1:1 from Tata Teleservices Maharashtra Ltd.Distributed among all Departments, library, and various labs through Multimode and Single mode optical fiber cable and CAT 6 network backbone connectivity with gigabit Cisco and D link & HP manageable switches connectivity.
Firewall: We are using Sophos XG-330 firewall appliance system for surfing secure Internet facility with individual internet login credentials at institute campus. Delivering Internet Facility: 24X7 dedicated Internet Leased Line facility provided through the wired as well as wireless connectivity to all departments Various Labs, Dept. Class Rooms, Faculty Cabins, Central Computer Center and various computer laboratories and campus Boys and Girls hostels.
I) Wired LAN and WAN connectivity: For providing Wired LAN and WAN Connectivity through Optical fiber Cable and CAT 6 Wired connectivity provided to all Departments Various Labs, Classrooms, Central Computer Center, Library, faculties cabin, various Computer laboratories and campus Girls and boy’s hostels using Gigabit Manageable Cisco, HP, and D link switch. There is total 60+ Manageable Gigabit Cisco, D link& HP switches are usingtoprovidingWiredinternetfacility.
II) Wireless LAN and WAN connectivity: For providing Wireless LAN and WAN Connectivity to all Departments various Laboratories, and campus Girls and boy’s hostels are using D-Link, Airtight, Linksys, TP Link access points. There is total 175+ wireless access points are available in the college and campus Girls and boy’s hostels for delivering wireless access Facility.
