Brief Profile :

Dr. R. S. Bichkar acquired B.E. and M. E. (both in Electronics Engineering) from SGGS Institute of Engineering & Technology, Nanded in 1986 and 1991 respectively. Subsequently, he completed Ph. D. on "Model-Based Tomographic Reconstruction from Limited Noisy Projections using Randomized Optimization Techniques" from IIT, Kharagpur in 2000 under the guidance of Prof. Dr. A. K. Ray from E&ECE Department. He has worked on various positions (Lecturer, Assistant Professor and Professor) in Electronics Engg. as well as Computer Engg. departments in SGGSIET, Nanded from 1986 to 2007 and then as Professor in E&TC Department in G.H. Raisoni College of Engg. & Mgmt., Pune from 2007 to 2018. He has 33 years of experience as a faculty in Engineering institutes. Presently, he is working as Principal in VPKBIET, Baramati. He has published more than 50 research papers in various National and International conferences and journals. Seven students have completed Ph. D. under his guidance in E&TC as well as Computer Engg. field from SRTM University, Nanded and six students are currently registered with him in Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune. He has published four books two of which are currently in circulation namely, "Programming with C" and "Programming with C and Data Structures" by Universities Press.
